I wanted to share some cool things I've picked up recently, and spread some more love for my favourite Etsy shop.

(Wide satin, hot pink velvet, black glitter, and lace and cross chokers.)
I placed my second order with Twirly Trinkets on Thursday morning when I was heading to uni on the train (i.e. putting off reading a very old play). They arrived on Saturday morning which is absolutely excellent service, and I couldn't be happier with my items! The lace and cross choker is one I had custom made, but it's now available to purchase on the store as the owner, Penny, liked the design so much. :) I have a strange fondness for the pink one as well as it's a bit different from me, and as much as I love black, I am quite into the right shade of pink from time to time. Bryan liked it too; he said it's like a cat collar and has probably pinpointed just why I love it so! The total of my order came to £12.50 which is a real bargain, as you'd probably pay that for one of these chokers if you saw it in Topshop, whereas these are all made to order by Penny herself. I highly recommend this shop and already have a couple more in mind ...

(Too Faced Matte Eye palette, Gelish polish in "Black Shadow", Barry M glitter polishes in "Amethyst", "Ruby" and "Magenta", La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo serum, Kleenex Shine-Absorbing Sheets)

Now, some recent beauty purchases. I got this palette on eBay when my local Boots sold out of them and it has the loveliest everyday colours that are arranged to be worn together, plus little cards to tell you how to create different eye looks. They are very soft and pigmented, plus a good size for travelling. I also caved and bought two tubes of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo serum as it's had such good reviews, and was on offer in Boots (two £13 tubes for £15). My skin has been rubbish lately so I'll try anything to make it behave. The Kleenex blotting sheets are the best I've tried and were 99p for 50 sheets in Superdrug (usually £2.99). The Gelish polish was a bit of a splurge but in my opinion it is much better than Red Carpet Manicure colours and has stayed on my nails really well. Finally, I couldn't resist these new Barry M jewel glitters that were on 3 for 2 in Superdrug. I currently have "Ruby Glitter" over my gel polish on my ring finger.
I have been watching a lot of makup videos on YouTube and it really puts me in the mood to buy makeup – does anyone else get this, or am I just the most impressionable person ever?

Oh no, I thought I had enough chokers but I think I might just need a plain black glitter one. And maybe a hot pink one too. I LOVE the custom design too, with the lace and the cross, it's just perfect! I've been eyeing up the Barry M ruby glitter since before Christmas, oh the temptation... I guess if you're impressionable about buying makeup when watching makeup videos, that makes it okay for me to be impressionable about wanting to buy things when reading blogs. Or at least I hope so ahaha! xxx
Blogs are good for the economy, if nothing else. It is a lovely polish; I did it on myself and my mum's friend loved it so much she made me paint her nails like mine. ^_^ Glad to see there's at least one person who feels my pain (if you can call it pain when it's so fun)!
