Hi! I haven't posted on here in an age, despite my best intentions, but I do have a good excuse: I bought a flat!
I get the keys in a few weeks' time and will have to do some work to it before I can move in, but it's a great starter and I'm absolutely thrilled. :) So, needless to say I've been doing much less clothes-buying, and much more trawling of TK Maxx. It's been so stressful as we originally had an offer accepted on another place, but the horrible estate agents sold it to someone else and then denied all knowledge of our dealings. I also had four essays due in on the same day, which was quite the undertaking. (>_<)' However, term is ending soon so I hope I'll have a bit more time to myself. I might do a homeware 'haul' post at some point, but in the meantime I thought I'd share some things I'm really into at the moment.
(Clockwise: Kill Star hoodie, MUA Luxe Velvet in 'Funk', Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in 'Shameless', Underground 'Commando' steel toecap boots, Office 'Destroyer' shoes, Forever 21 skirt and sunglasses.)
I bought this hoodie the day we found out our estate agents had shafted us. I was really upset, and I'd wanted it for an age, so the time had definitely come. It is really far more expensive than what I'd ever pay for a hoodie, but it's fairly unique, lovely quality, and has an insane widow's hood which pleases me to no end. The MUA lip colour is a dupe of the Lime Crime Velvetines, and at £3 they are very justifiable purchases. I've worn 'Funk' the most as it is a lovely raspberry pink and it's a great product. I also finally caved and got a Revlon Matte balm, though I used my Boots points so it was a free treat! These combat boots were an amazing TK Maxx find, at £39.99 down from £125. They have screwed, cleated soles and steel toecaps, so they're utterly badass, as are the Office shoes which I really should not have bought ... but did. Finally, these Forever 21 purchases were impulse buys, but I can't get enough of that skirt. It is the perfect, perfect length. As for the sunglasses, well, the 90s live on. They come in blue lenses too which my store didn't have, and I'm very tempted by those as well.
Suffice to say I am very pleased with this lot and can see myself wearing all of it regularly. Yay for intelligent buys!
I'll be back with a February and March 10x10 update in a few days. :)
